Malbec from our Desert Wind Vineyard consistently produces big, bold fruit and dark colored wines. Picked late in October at optimal ripeness, the grapes were fermented in open top bins and aged 16 months in barrel, with some French oak to enhance the fruit and flavors in the wine. This Malbec has deep purple color, is heavy on the palate with an explosion of fruit flavors and finishes with silky tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of blackberry and dark chocolate are present, with sweet oak and vanilla on the finish.
