Malbec from our Desert Wind Vineyard consistently produces big, bold fruit and dark colored wines. Picked late in October at optimal ripeness, the grapes were fermented in open top bins and aged 16 months in barrel, with some French oak to enhance the fruit and flavors in the wine. This Malbec has deep purple color, is heavy on the palate with an explosion of fruit flavors and finishes with silky tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of blackberry and dark chocolate are present, with sweet oak and vanilla on the finish.

The 2019 Chenin Blanc was sourced from vines planted in 1981, and were hand-picked at optimal sugar levels with considerable acidity. The grapes were gently pressed and fermented cool in stainless steel. The wine opens with a slight minerality and notes of pear, honeycomb, and orange blossom. The palate is clean and full of flavor, with a slight sweetness to balance the acidity.

While typically used in the production of port, our Touriga Nacional has been made into a rose-style wine. Our 2019 Touriga Nacional Rose was hand picked and directly pressed, with a maximum of 4 hours of skin contact. The wine was fermented cool in stainless steel to preserve the fruit flavors and maintain a fresh, clean palate. The resulting wine is light and crisp with fruit aromas of strawberry and grapefruit, and a pronounced minerality on the palate.

Our Heritage Series Chardonnay is completely barrel fermented in French oak and undergoes full malolactic fermentation. After fermentation, the wine continues to age in barrel, sur lie, for up to 9 months. This process gives the wine increased complexity, richness, and introduces oak flavors from the barrels. The end result is a full-bodied, complex wine with tropical fruit flavors, vanilla, and toasted sugar.
